Sapendo che nessuno di info od utopia sarebbe andato al concerto del 12 Febbraio a Verona (NY), in quanto inizialmente non avrebbe dovuto suonarvi ma ha poi confermato la sua presenza in ritardo, Alanis ha ben deciso (forse) di suonare Torch.

Ciò non è sicuro, perchè nessuno ha la setlist e su blog e youtube non ci sono tracce di ciò, ma sul myspace di Alanis è comparso, da una fan dei MB20, questo commento:

I will be going to the Albany show next Thursday as well and I really hope she plays it again. Her new stuff is really good. She was just fabulous!

Abbiamo Mortorium, Tapes, Not as we, adesso questa...è troppo! Se nel cd non ci schiaffa Versions of violence e Citizen of the planet sarebbe drammatico...a stò punto W UNDERNEATH SINGOLO!!!

Tapes non mi risulta rientri nelle tracce del prossimo album.

URS e FOS, con l'eccezione di poche tracce, sono composti esclusivamente di break up songs e riflessioni su break up.

L'unica canzone tra le nuove che non ha nulla a che vedere con relazioni e rotture è Citizen Of The Planet.

Ma scusate, non confondiamo il concetto di "breakup song" con "ballad", perchè il primo termine si riferisce al contenuto tematico di una canzone, il secondo a uno stile musicale. Bent4U e That Particular Time son due breakup song, ma solo la seconda è una ballad. In questo senso, il 90% delle canzoni di Alanis sono breakup song, ed è il bello della sua musica! Ogni analisi si sviluppa da un evento come la rottura e più in generale da un rapporto sentimentale. E' così dal 1995! Ed è anche universalmente riconosciuta questa sua caratteristica (citando un mio amico: "quella puttana che piace a te sa solo parlare di cazzi"  ).

Unfortunately I only speak English, but I am Gina the one who posted that she played Torch. I was uploading photos and video today and found that I actually did take a small snippet of the song. I hope she plays it in Albany on Thursday as then I will record the whole thing, but in the meantime, for you nonbelievers, check out where I posted it on YouTube:

Calmi tutti calmi tutti...non c sto capendo più niente, ma questa è torch sul serio...e mi rimangio tutto quello che ho detto precedentemente perchè sembra stupenda...ma porcaccia miseriaccia solo 20 secondi!!!! La voglio sentire tuttaaa!!!
